Here at Eclipse, we are excited to be able to offer homeschool students ages 8-18 a quality musical theatre education which focuses on the three main concentrations music, dance and acting. 

Our inaugural show will be Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, JR.! Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

Auditions will be November 13th from 1-3pm, taking place at Mars Hill Church (Mobile Campus). Those auditioning will learn a small portion of choreography and perform it with the judges. If comfortable, the auditionee will be asked to sing a small cut of a musical theatre piece of any kind. Do not sing from the show! Singing for the directors is not a requirement, but it is encouraged so we can best place your student in our cast!

Rehearsals will be weekly on Wednesdays from 1-3pm at Mars Hill Church. A full schedule will be released by November 1st. Tech week will take place February 1st through February 6th at Arlene Mitchell Theatre. Note that some rehearsals may be added to the schedule!

The show will be performed at Spring Hill College’s Arlene Mitchell Theatre on February 7th and 8th. Please note that there will be a mandatory school performance on February 7th during the school day.
